AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Xi Rho chapter at Sonoma State. Alpha Omicron Pi is constantly growing with 144 chapters and 161 Alumnae chapters throughout the United States and Canada. We are one of the lucky few that have the opportunity to say we have sisters internationally! It has been an honor to serve as AOII Xi Rho’s Chapter’s president. I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to represent such amazing young women that “inspire ambition” every day not only on our campus, but in the lives of those around them. We continue to strive through our values of scholarship, college loyalty, involvement, philanthropy, and most importantly, sisterhood.
I could not have imagined myself being in the position I am today three years ago when I opened my bid. Alpha Omicron Pi changed my life immensely and has made me who I am today. From the moment I joined, I immediately felt love, acceptance, and ultimately a place I call home. But more importantly, AOII will forever be more than the opportunities it has to offer; it’s also about creating lifelong friendships. These are the women that will be there through the many challenges of college and the incredible memories made along the way. AOII has quickly become my home away from home and my family. I am so humbled to have been able to watch so many of the girls I call my sisters grow in to such strong, dedicated, passionate leaders.
My sisters and I really appreciate you taking the time to visit our website and we hope this gives you insight as to why we have chosen to become AOII’s for a lifetime.
